I shoot enough photos that it's valuable to have my USB options set to "Connect as a camera".
Every time I plug my Android phone into my Mac, the Photos app starts up and reports that the phone (Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime) has 2-3 photos in it. They are:
- A blank white image that is 1 x 1 pixel, called gmsnet2.png
- A 540x949 image of my home screen (without background image) called homescreenPreview.png, taken the last time I unplugged
- A 540x960 image of my lock screen (without background image) called lockscreen_capture_port.png, taken just as I plugged in.
I am quite sure I did not take screen shots. The presence of these "photos" causes the very fat Photos app to launch, lagging my computer for awhile. Then I must import and delete them. This is an annoyance I'd rather be rid of.
How can I get rid of autocreation of these "photos"?
No jailbreaking. No unapproved apps - Play store only. The best answer doesn't involve an app.
