So i'm going to be using microg trying to avoid the million trackers hidden in applications on the play store and mainly use applications from Fdroid as they don't for the most part. I actually had a previous post about this here.
How to disable hidden trackers, in google play store applications
There's games and certain things in play store i need, but simply having these applications installed they track you permissions mean nothing in this context.
I found Shelter it creates isolation using the work profile of the phone. https://f-droid.org/en/packages/net.typeblog.shelter/
I want to confirm that this will definitely block or prevent the trackers embedded inside the applications, from collecting data my data "outside" of the work profile. I believe all applications i have installed to the work profile will be monitoring each other.
I've read articles about applications collecting data even when permissions have been denied don't mean trackers at this point, this should also help this and malware.
There's also VMOS virtual machine, sure this won't play well gaming and less practical maybe. If anyone has any input or others suggestions much appreciated. I'm in process of getting new phone, can't test my setup isn't compatible.
